Antique, Circa 1935 WALK-OVER “Ventilated” Oxford Spectator 。Here for your consideration is a very rare pair of leather Perforated Spectator shoes made by the Stone Shoe Co. of Cleveland founded in 1862 and operated till 1959. This was not a commonly worn shoe compared to many other styles. It always took a particular type of Gentleman... with a strong personality and just the right attitude to pull them off (even when in the company of other men wearing \"regular\" spectators). Many makers sold only their highest end (and most expensive) shoes in these styles.
This Vintage Perforated Spectator shoe supplies us with some of the most creatively designed and wonderfully constructed examples of shoemaking with the smallest double stitching I\'ve ever seen. The soles with intact stitching and heel have miles of life in them. The arch area, outer side and top of shoe are perforated for comfortable breathability on hot summer days.
These shoes are not only wearable-they are collectible as well.
This is your opportunity to own one of America\'s- and the World\'s great shoes.
These are vintage shoes, and stated sizes could vary wildly between models and makers. This one fits my 9.5 foot perfectly.
Please examine the photographs; they comprise part of this description.
The vintage shoe trees are included with your purchase
